20+ 1994 Ford Ranger Clutch Bleeding Pictures. And my clutch is complete mush. I have bench bled the mastercylinder as directed and also have tried manual bleeding, pressure bleeding and vacuum bleeding.
My ranger had been shifting hard for quite awhile.
The process involves the same theory as bleeding brakes, where you replace old hydraulic fluid with fresh fluid, helping maintain the performance of the clutch (or braking) system. Then, bleed the clutch system to get any air out. I recently (about 3 months ago) got my clutch replaced in my '97 ford ranger, and when i was driving it yesterday, the clutch suddenly stopped working. I recently opted to go ahead and replace the clutch, throwout bearing, had the i took the pickup to ford, they said they bled it and charged me 90 bucks and still couldn't get the clutch to release.
