10+ Ford Ranger Spare Tire Crossmember
Pictures. What your lookin to do is a big job, as the crossmember is held in place with 16+ rivets that hold it in place and tie the front frame section to the rear! Having my spare tire in my bed has really started to annoy me.

If you get a flat tire while you are driving this spare tire is identical to the other. The spare tire carrier i don't use because i have big tires. Not sure if i should weld in some plate's to join them together or would it be ok as it is?
I had a 31 in there for many years even with my hitch receiver taking up it sounds like you're already set against putting the tire underneath, but i thought i'd share my nightmare with you as well.
Once you have the spare tire off, just keep it in the bed of the truck, that way you won't have to get underneath the vehicle.
